My favorites from #NYFW
I run this blog since 2009 but there is nothing written in English, until today.
I apologize in advance for my mistakes, be patient!
My favorites shows in New York
Season after season my admiration for this brand grows. I simply love its refined style, the comfy but superbly cut dresses, the fact that no skin is visible, I even like the shoes.
I would wear everything (feeling like I am in pajamas, how good is that).
Born in 2013 and launched by The Line (Vanessa Traina’s e-commerce), this brand is now loved by new yorkers. How to blame them.
Marchesa is not usually really my cup of tea, but this time the show made me change my mind. Retro vibes in hairstyles and jewels, decadent gowns and dresses, feathers, crystals, silk. Simply fabulous.
Every single season what Jenna Lyons creates becomes desirable. I believe that I wouldn’t buy these single pieces in a J Crew store, what is really appealing here to me is the styling. These are my favorite looks (the yellow ones are a bit too much). What about that marvellous scarf? The fur trimmed t shirt? Those absolutely perfect boyfriend jeans? Let’s say it, we just want to look like Jenna (I do,anyway).
DIESEL BLACK GOLD
Here’s another label that ususally doesn’t blow my mind, but this time something hit me. A total black show with interesting details, a parade of not-your-usual-little-black-dress and the right amount of masculinity.
I want to be the Altuzarra woman. A modern Carine Roitfeld, sure of herself, sexy, chic, flirty. The deep v necks, the slits, the lace details, the furs. I want to be this woman, or at least feel like her thanks to these dresses…
When I wake up in the morning and I don’t feel like wearing anything, when I think “ok, I just want a chicer version of my pajama (which is already so chic)”, when I feel like I am missing in my closet some essential pieces, here you are, the Tibi collection is all about that to me. Monochromatic looks, furry shoes, everything seems comfortable enough to be worn through all day, from a meeting to an informal lunch.
The shows I loathed: jeremy Scott (I wonder if the clothes will be in store?!)
Rodarte (I just don’t understand their collections), Alexander Wang (no no and no), and the worst fashion show ever, Kanye West for Adidas.
