Vintage hairdo inspo
60’s hairdos have always been my all time favorites and there are so many movies providing good inspiration. Here are some of my favorite iconic haircut and hairdos:
Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s is at number one of my list, I was so impressed when I saw her in the movie that I cut my fringe immediately like that by myself. BAD IDEA.
Here is the scene where her hair is half loose.. to keep it so big on top, hidden toupees were used
Anna Karina was a fan of a similar hairstyle, but she had a fringe
Audrey had it too, sometimes
This is her in “Paris when it sizzles” . Just tell me if this hairdo isn’t the most adorable!!
She probably liked it because this is her at a dinner gala
Catherine Deneuve with a nice and elegant chignon
Barbara Stanwyck in “Double Indemnity”, with her iconic curled bob and fringe
A bon ton one: Cybill Shepherd in “The last picture show”. I love how soft it is, with the barette on the side. Maybe you’ll remember her in “Txi Driver”, she was older but sported the same cut
Unforgattable even if not so vintage, Sienna Miller in “Factory Girl”, where she plays Edie Sedgwick
and of course there is Twiggy, with her iconic cut created for her Leonard of Myfair, a very famous hairdresser of the Swinging London
It’s basically the same as the Carey Mulligan’s one in “The Great Gatsby”
