TOM:A WALK IN THEIR SHOES

I do not know if you are aware of Tom’s policy: the brand donates a pair of shoes to a person in need everytime that someone buys a pair of their slippers. In this video a skater and purchaser of TOM is sent to see the reactions of those who have received the shoes, some African children.

L’INFLUENZA DEI 501 IN GIAPPONE

In this fourth episode of the history of 501 by Levi’s, the brand explores the obsession of the Japanese people for American fashion, in particularly for the denim. Interesting (the prices that Japanese are ready to pay for a good pair of jeans!).

YOHJI YAMAMOTO PER BOF

A rare interview of the Japanese designer by Business of Fashion.

HOMME PLISSE’ ISSEY MIYAKE via SSENSE

The magic pleats Please fabric by Issey Miyake, one of the most astonishing materials ever. Invented in 1993 by the Japanese designer it does not crease, it doesn’t change over time. I sincerely believe is the perfect fabric,  it keeps you cool during the summer and warm in winter, you can wash it and there is no need to iron it. Did you know that the famous turtlenecks that Steve Jobs always wore were by Miyake?

VINTAGE MAKEUP TUTORIAL

I discovered these videos about makeup in the 60’s on youtube. I could watch them for hours, they are wonderful! If you then look at the column on the right there is plenty of videos about marriage and relationships, hilarious.
